The guidance you deserved from the start.
Within Her Network matches first-generation and underrepresented women with a mentor one to three steps ahead — a woman who has walked exactly the road you are on right now.
Pilot cohort selecting now. Full cohort applications open in November.
THE REALITY
Nobody handed you a roadmap. You built one anyway. But imagine what you could have built if you didn't have to start from scratch.
You applied to college without anyone in your family who had done it before. You wrote personal statements by guessing. You sat in financial aid offices alone. You Googled what a GPA requirement even meant.
And you kept going — because what else was there to do? That is not resilience you should have had to develop. That is a gap in access that was never your fault.
Within Her Network was built to close it. Not with generic advice or a course you click through alone. With a real woman, one step ahead of you, saying: “I know exactly where you are. Let me show you what I see.”

THE FOUNDER
She was fifteen. Her father had just been murdered. She moved to a new country. Alone.
No family on the ground. No roadmap. No one who had done this before her. Millicent Okoro became the first in her family to navigate life in the United States, building her future one intentional decision at a time.
She found mentors. She placed herself in the right rooms on purpose. And when the right people poured into her, everything she had been working toward began to materialise.
A full-ride scholarship. Research presented at Harvard. An internship at Yale. A published article on domestic violence, written alongside university leaders — as a college sophomore. Not because the path became easy. Because someone finally helped her see it.
“There were moments when I didn't know if college was even possible for me. Then I found mentorship — and everything changed.”
She built Within Her Network so no woman has to wait as long as she did to find that person.
THE TEAM
Millicent Okoro
FOUNDER, WITHIN HER NETWORKHi, I'm Millicent — you can call me Millie. I'm a full-ride scholar and the first in my family to navigate life in the United States. Everything I have, I have because someone chose to help me see the path forward when I couldn't see it myself.
At fifteen, after my father was murdered, I moved to a new country alone — no family on the ground, no roadmap, no one who had done this before me. I found mentors who placed me in the right rooms on purpose, and when the right people poured into me, everything I had been working toward began to materialise.
A full-ride scholarship. Research presented at Harvard. An internship at Yale. A published article on domestic violence written alongside leaders at my university, as a sophomore. None of it happened because the path became easy — it happened because someone finally helped me see it.
I built Within Her Network so no woman has to wait as long as I did to find that person.
Emmanuel Chukwudebere
CO-FOUNDER, PRODUCT & TECHNOLOGYHi, I'm Emmanuel. I'm a product designer and technology builder, and I work with Millie to turn the Within Her Network vision into a product women can actually use.
I lead product and technology — from shaping the experience and building the platform to thinking through the systems that make meaningful mentorship possible at scale.
I believe technology should remove friction, not add another layer between people and the opportunities they deserve. Within Her Network exists to make sure women don't have to navigate their futures alone. My role is to help build the infrastructure that makes that promise real.
I'm also the founder of Amamihe, an adaptive AI tutor built around a similar belief: people shouldn't have to figure everything out alone.
THE STRUCTURE
A network that does not just open doors. It builds the women who walk through them.
And every woman who walks through eventually holds the door for the next.
You are talented. You are ambitious. But the next step feels foggy, and the people around you have never stood where you are trying to go. You need someone who has — and who can tell you exactly what they wish they had known.
You have traction. But traction without direction bleeds out. You need the right rooms, the right opportunities, and someone who can see your ceiling before you hit it.
You remember what it felt like to not know. You made it through — not alone, but with people who believed in you before you fully believed in yourself. Now you are exactly what someone else needs.
INSIDE THE PILOT
This is not a programme you watch from a distance. It is a room you are fully in.
One mentor, one to three steps ahead of you, matched to the goal you name in your application. Weekly check-ins for 30 days — text, call, or FaceTime. Built around your real life, not a rigid schedule.
One real opportunity identified and actively pursued — a research programme, an internship, a scholarship — with your resume and personal statement read by someone who knows what selection committees actually look for.
WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH
Every woman in the pilot names one outcome in her first week — and leaves with it finished. “The Becoming Her Plan.”
What that looks like, depending on where you are standing:
- A polished, reviewed resume
- A personal statement that has been read and refined
- At least one real opportunity identified and actively pursued
- A clear direction for the next 6 to 12 months
- A mentor relationship you do not lose when the cohort ends
Your plan names the goal you chose, the opportunity you are pursuing, and the next steps you own — built around your specific situation. Not a template filled in with your name. A document written entirely around you.
She never approaches success with a competitive mindset. When one of us succeeds, all of us succeed. Her generosity has opened doors for me that I may never have found on my own.
Which side of the door are you standing on?
I am ready to be positioned.
You have the drive. We have the structure, the access, and the women who will pour into you like the mentor you always deserved.
5 spots. First cohort. Selected by application. No cost to you.
I am ready to pour.
You made it through. You know what it cost. And you know exactly what it would have meant to have someone like you, earlier. This is that opportunity.
One mentee. Thirty days. One outcome you helped her finish.
Applying for the full cohort? Applications open in November, with mentee selections in December.

Within Her Network is partnered with Amamihe — a voice-first AI tutor that learns how you think and adapts to how you learn best. Mentorship opens the door. Mastery makes you impossible to ignore once you are inside.
